Laney Contemporary presents L’Union Fait La Force: Savannah for Haiti at Oglethorpe Gallery, 406 East Oglethorpe Ave., Savannah, Ga., Feb. 19-27. Reception to be held Friday, Feb. 19, 6-9 p.m.
The exhibition features works by SCAD faculty, staff and alumni: Steve Bliss, Lisa M. Robinson, Craig Stevens, Julio Garcia, Daniel E. Smith, Sal Lopes, Jason Hoelscher, Katherine Sandoz, Pete Christman, Juliana Peloso and Ken Rosenthal.
Fifty percent of art sales will be donated to Oxfam America and Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) for Haiti relief. Donations will be accepted at the door (cash or checks preferred).
Oglethorpe Gallery is alumna Susan Laney’s (BFA, photography, 1996) first gallery project since she closed Savannah’s well-known Jack Leigh Gallery in 2008. Since that time, her business Laney Contemporary has been working with the artists that she represented at the Jack Leigh Gallery.
