The position requires working with the three squared Creative Directors and Art Directors to create imagery that best fits within the client’s specifications and best fits their expectations, ensuring that the Creative Director’s vision, quality bar, design concept, and directives are maintained and consistent through all design and conceptual work. To provide constant feedback to team members while always working in a collaborative mindset.<br />
You will be involved in all phases of the design process, including concept development, storyboarding, animation, graphic design, and production. The works we create vary greatly in mediums and types including Internet video, commercials, animated shorts, trailers, product demos and post-production. To work with the Creative Directors and Art Directors to develop and create the design concept, style, and quality bar required for the production, and working within the schedule and budget.<br />
· To build strong communication and consistency across the creative department, aiming at creating a strong, inspiring, and productive team atmosphere.<br />
<strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong><br />
Experience as a Motion Graphics Artist and Designer – skilled in the use of the Adobe suite (specifically After Effects) of tools, with knowledge of Shake, Nuke, Final Cut Pro and Maya a plus.<br />
You must understand the art of telling a story and conveying a message by combining motion graphics, video and music.<br />
To design and build compelling high quality animations and video productions<br />
Using conceptual and design skills to bring ideas to life<br />
Shaping the details of motion projects by providing cutting edge techniques and technologies<br />
Education: MS/BA/BFA Degree in Fine Arts or Commercial Arts Field.<br />

<p><strong>YAF 10 &#8211; Envisioning Breuer<br />
First Annual Photography Competition | Deadlines: Aug. 16th (Professional); Sept. 15th (Amateur)</strong><br />
The Young Architects Forum (YAF) Atlanta Chapter is launching its first Annual Photography Competition with the theme YAF10 –Envisioning Breuer. This event is a part of YAF’s commitment to the great architecture in Atlanta. All photographs must have an architectural theme or contain some element of the built environment. Entries will be accepted from now until Monday, Aug. 16 for professional entries, and until Wednesday, Sept. 15 for amateur entries. Prizes to be announced! This YAF competition aims to challenge photographers to creatively capture images of the Atlanta Central Library designed by Marcel Breuer, which is located at 1 Margaret Mitchell Square, N.W., Atlanta, Georgia 30303. Photographers will have an opportunity to showcase their talent at demonstrating thought-provoking and visually innovative images. The winning photos will be displayed at the 2010 YAF Photography Exhibit in October as part of the Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) events and at select library locations through January 2011. The Joan Derryberry Art Gallery at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tenn., is seeking artists for solo exhibitions for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. Working Class Studio, SCAD’s product development venture, is seeking talented designers to assist with a prestigious corporate logo design competition. <p><strong>SCAD Atlanta to field intercollegiate athletics in 2010</strong></p>
<p>SCAD Atlanta announces the commencement of its intercollegiate athletics program beginning Fall 2010. The university will field men’s and women’s teams in three sports: cross country, golf and tennis.</p>
<p>Brad Iftner, a former Division I student-athlete at Eastern Illinois University, has been hired as director of athletics and also will serve as the head tennis coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. Iftner previously coached at Cumberland University and Southern Illinois University<del datetime="2010-07-09T09:47" cite="mailto:SCAD"></del> Carbondale and was the assistant tennis coach for Purdue University.</p>
<p>Wyatt Graff, a former All-American scholar at SCAD Savannah, has been hired as the head golf coach. Graff played golf all four years as an undergraduate at SCAD Savannah and was a member of their first-ever ranked golf team. Coach Graff, who also served as assistant pro at Fox Meadows Country Club in Medina, Ohio, also passed the P.A.T. (play ability test) at Clemson University’s The Walker Course in Clemson, S.C.</p>
<p>Avard Moncur, a former track standout at Auburn University, has been hired as the head cross country coach.  Moncur, a silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, is a two-time NCAA Division I champion in the 400 meters (2000, 2001), and in 2001 he finished the year as the top-ranked runner in the world in the 400-meter event.</p>

<p>The Savannah College of Art and Design continues its Atlanta-area community education programming with an exciting series of summer workshops, June through August. Open to adults and teens ages 15 and up, the hands-on workshops provide access to SCAD’s outstanding facilities and instructors. Early registration is encouraged.</p>
<p>Registration for the summer workshop series is open to learners at all levels, and most do not require prior experience. The cost is $95-450, depending on art supplies, with all materials provided at the workshop. Class sizes are small, allowing workshop participants to benefit from the individual attention provided by the instructors.</p>
<p>Summer workshop highlights include jewelry making, digital photography and figure drawing. Workshops in Chinese brush painting and illustration also are offered.  A complete list of workshops is noted below.</p>
