Connector editor positions still available — application deadline extended!

SCAD Atlanta’s award-winning Connector student news source and SCAN Magazine are still accepting applications for the following management positions:

Students wishing to apply must submit an application packet via e-mail in .pdf format to twillia@scad.edu. Application packets must include a completed application, cover letter, résumé and two references.
Qualified applicants will be interviewed by The Connector editor-in-chief. Term of office for these stipended positions is March 22, 2010 – March 15, 2011. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.

In addition to the management positions listed above, The Connector and SCAN Magazine are always seeking SCAD students to contribute as reporters, writers, columnists, photographers, designers, illustrators or cartoonists. All interested students are welcome to attend The Connector’s weekly staff meetings, held Fridays at 11 a.m. at The Connector newsroom inside the Spring House computer lab. Radio meetings are held Fridays at 2 p.m. in the Spring House TV Room.

The Student Media Council is now seeking applicants for 2010-11 editor-in-chief of The Connector, SCAD Atlanta’s online student news source. The position also oversees production of SCAD Atlanta’s award-winning quarterly student magazine, SCAN.
This stipended position offers an unparalleled opportunity to manage a talented staff of writers, photographers, designers and illustrators, as well as gain outstanding career-building experience in media, journalism and publications.
Application deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 9, at noon. Qualified applicants will interview with the Student Media Council on Friday, Feb. 12. For more information and application materials, e-mail twillia@scad.edu.
