The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is hosting a new lecture as part of their Design Conversation series featuring Israeli designer Noa Raviv. Raviv is a fashion designer who uses 3-D printing to create her ensembles, similar to Iris van Herpen’s work currently being shown at the High Museum. Her collection “Hard Copy” features designs that were created by taking advantage of glitches in the 3-D rendering program she used. She has been featured in numerous online publications and magazines for this collection such as Vogue Japan and Italy, Marie Claire Belgium and BBC. Raviv has also won awards including the “Fini Leitersdorf Excellence Prize” in Tel Aviv and the “Fashion Designer of The Year Award 2014” at the 3D Printshow in London.

The Power of Mistakes with Fashion Designer Noa Raviv” will take place Feb 7 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at MODA and will allow the attendees to view their current exhibition “Designers, Makers, Users: 3D Printing the Future” after the lecture. You can purchase tickets in advance, at the student rate of $5, through their website here.
