Xu Bing to deliver deFINE ART keynote
Xu Bing (b. 1955, Chongqing, China), an acclaimed artist and MacArthur Fellow, is most known for his printmaking skills and installation pieces, as well as his artistic use of language, words and text. His work has been shown extensively around the world. Bing’s lecture will be Thursday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at SCADshow. All deFINE ART lectures, receptions and events are free and open to the public.

Also, as part of deFINE ART, there will be a panel discussion on Tuesday, Feb. 17 with artists Matthew Day Jackson and Jesper Just at 6 p.m. in the fourth floor events space in building C, and gallery receptions at 7 p.m. in the SCAD Atlanta galleries.

Learn how to work a career fair
The “How to Work a Career Fair” workshop will give you major clues as to how to get the most out of SCAD Career Fair 2015 on Feb. 27 at Savannah International Trade & Convention Center in Savannah. You’ll learn how to dress for success and make the best first impression possible. Information packets and other materials, including a liability waiver for those who’d like to travel by bus to the career fair, will be distributed at the workshop. This event is free and open to anyone carrying a SCAD ID on Friday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in the fourth floor events space in building C.
