There are a number of religious holidays occurring during fall quarter.
Students who are observing a religious holiday can take an absence in their classes, which counts as one of four allowed absences in accordance with academic policy. Students are encouraged to speak with faculty members before missing class, and should make arrangements with faculty and fellow students to obtain notes and be brought up to date in their classes.
Staff members who are observing a religious holiday should plan to use their floating holidays or annual leave to take time off. Faculty or staff with questions should call human resources at (912) 525-5532.
